Our Story: A Family Business Built on Real Bread

We’re Charlotte and Ben, the founders of British Sourdough – a family-run business born from our love of baking and the simple joy of making real sourdough.

Based in North East Essex, we’ve spent years learning, practising and refining the methods that make sourdough so special: time, patience and honest ingredients. What started as a passion in our own kitchen has grown into a place where fellow bakers can find everything they need to enjoy great sourdough, whether that’s a loaf ready to eat or the tools to bake their own.
